Act of Choosing

CHOICE- (noun) an act of choosing between two or more possibilities.
Everyone likes making choices and choosing what they think is appropriate for them. We make choices almost everyday, well, every minute to be precise. Whether to snooze the alarm or to dismiss it, whether to take a bus to work or walk till the office, to continue watching TV or complete the homework... and the list goes on.
Sometimes there is this really weird thing about making a choice- People feel that they are compelled to do something but if you see in actuality, they aren't. They have a choice of not feeling compelled to do something and hence not do it.
It's quite amusing that one different choice can lead to a completely different life, maybe totally contradictory to the one you are living in. We often think that- what if I had chosen a different career or what would life be like if I had taken a different road to success? The answer to these questions is something we can never find for real. We can make assumptions such as- I would have been more happier or I would have more money. But well you don't know that for sure, do you ?

“Life is about choices. Some we regret, some we’re proud of. Some will haunt us forever. The message: we are what we chose to be.” —Graham Brown

I feel this holds true to a greater extent. The bad choices we made will make us better choosers in the future and the good ones will make us more self aware and self motivated.
'Our choices make US' - We always have a choice and well, at this very moment, you are making one which is to read this blog.
